His highest business aspiration is to earn and keep the trust of his clients by making a difference through such value-added counseling. Steve’s skill set includes small business accounting solutions, payroll, business, and individual tax-planning strategies, tax compliance and preparation, tax problem resolution, and audit representation services. Steve has run his Padgett office for over 25 years, and being part of this larger organization has always been attractive to him. The fact is no one has expertise in every area of business – so being able to draw on the wealth of knowledge and talent that Padgett comprises allows him to be more valuable to his clients and the community.

Sam joined Padgett in 2020 after 6 years in commercial real estate accounting. His passion is assisting small business owners succeed by helping them navigate the complexities of tax and compliance. He has earned a BS in accounting from Saint John's University and his Enrolled Agents certification. His hobbies include running, golf, and spending time with family and friends.

Michelle Herbert

Office Manager

Michelle took over running the front of the house and office management in 2000. She is proficient in QuickBooks, Sage, and Thomson Reuters software with an extraordinary attention to detail. Michelle handles full charge bookkeeping duties for many Padgett clients. Her friendly smile brightens the day of all who visit.
